Western Basin Sportfishing Association

The WBSA is a Social based Club for fishermen and women that fish in the Western and Central Basins of Lake Erie and it's tributaries. Membership is open to all fishing persons no matter what their location. Our goal is to present information in a manner that will help sustain and improve fishing in one of the greatest inland sport fisheries in the world.
Scientific information, fishing techniques, locations and presentations will be presented at our meetings by expert and knowledgeable speakers and tournament anglers in our group. These anglers are very open with techniques and methods and will help any member that is trying to learn new methods. All you have to do is ask!
We are the host of the Lake Erie Walleye Trail Team Walleye Circuit and assist other groups with their tourneys and fundraisers and also hold or assist with Children's fish outings and equipment.

Current Club Info

There will be no meeting on Tuesday, May 5th. We are looking for a new venue to hold them that isn't so noisy.

Next up will be a fish fry/social gathering at Cranberry Creek Marina on June 13. The gathering will start at about 5PM and food should be served around 6:30. Guests are welcome and covered dishes are encouraged but not necessary.

The LEWT is now an AIM Qualifier. the top team in the LEWT points race on July 27th will receive an invitation to the AIM championship at Lake Winniebigoshish on Sept 2-4, 2009.
